Worms
What are worms?
The original computer worm was first set free on the Internet by Robert Tappan Morris in 1988. Worms travel from one computer to another but unlike the common virus; it does not need human action. The greatest danger of a worm is that it can replicate itself. It can send thousands upon thousands of copies of itself to other people’s computers. For example the people on your email contact list. They can start conversations by saying “Hey look! I found a picture of this person that looks exactly like you!” then it would send you a file usually ending in an ‘exe’.
How did my computer get infected?
Possibly a person on your email contacts list can start conversations by saying “Hey look! I found a picture of this person that looks exactly like you!” then it would send you a file usually ending in an ‘exe’.
What can I do to get rid of them?
A ‘patch’ is software that patches up the fault that makes your computer defenseless to worms
You can also download internet security or Antivirus programs.
